Adelaide named the 3rd most liveable city in the world
In exciting news, Adelaide has been named the 3rd most liveable city in the world by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) as part of its Global Liveability Ranking for 2021.
Offering stunning landscapes, affordability, public safety and effective response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Adelaide also claims the title of the most liveable city in Australia.
This is a strong result for the city of Adelaide, rising from 10th place in the previous year. The report scaled cities based on 5 key liveability factors with Adelaide scoring as below:
- Healthcare: 100
- Education: 100
- Stability: 95
- Infrastructure: 96.4
- Culture & Environment: 83.8
Taking out the top two spots were Auckland in neighbouring New Zealand and Osaka in Japan. Australia received a positive overall result in the rankings, with 4 of the top 10 cities located in our country.
