In exciting news, we are delighted to share the Federal Government has approved South Australia’s International Student Arrival Plan.

We are currently the only Australian state to receive the go-ahead from the government and can now move to the next stage of planning; working on the logistics to ensure our international students’ safe and timely arrival in South Australia.

Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International), Jacqueline Lo shared further insights on the plan,

“At this stage, it will likely be several months before our first students arrive in South Australia. However, I hope to be able to share more information with you soon, including details around student eligibility, quarantine requirements and costs."

“It is important to note students should trust in the official communications from the University as the only accurate source of information to our students about these plans."

“The value of our international students to our University and to the South Australian community is widely known. Their contributions have been recognised in both the SA government’s ongoing work to secure an arrival plan and the federal government’s support of the proposal.”

We understand this has been a challenging time for many of our agency partners and students, and we want to thank you for your continued patience and support of the University of Adelaide.

In the meantime, please advise your currently enrolled students to contact International Student Support should they require any assistance. For any questions or concerns regarding the International Student Arrival Plan, please contact isap@adelaide.edu.au or get in touch with our International Recruitment Team.

We look forward to sharing further good news with you as the situation evolves and eagerly await the day we can welcome international students back to Australia’s most liveable city.
