Application information
Online application checklist
- Complete the student agreement (IDP applicants only)
- Attach the following as PDF files
- Academic transcripts and graduation certificates for all school and tertiary studies you have undertaken (original language and certified English translations)
- Official English testing results from IELTS, TOEFL, Pearson or Cambridge CAE/CPE (if applicable)
- Syllabus of subjects if you wish to be considered for advanced standing (credit transfer)
- Any professional qualification or memberships you may have
- A copy of your passport and visa (if applicable)
- Payment of AUD $110 for the Application Fee (required upon submission)
System Requirements
The application site is optimised for:
- Chrome 30, Internet Explorer 11, Firefox 27, Safari 7.
- You must use an English language keyboard
- Your screen area needs to be set at least at 1024 x 768 pixels or higher resolution to ensure you are able to view the Scroll Bars and Continue buttons within the services
Closing Dates and Additional Requirements
For current additional application requirements please refer to the "Admission and Fee Information" tab in Degree Finder for the desired course.
Applications submitted after the closing dates may be considered for the next available intake.
Applications without an agent
If you are not applying through an agent, you can apply now to commence your application.
You will apply via the Applicant Portal of our International Application System. You will be asked to register in the Applicant Portal. This will allow you to save your application at any point before submitting.
If you have an application saved or submitted in the Applicant Portal, you can login to do the following:
- Retrieve, edit and submit an application.
- Upload documents.
- Pay the application fee.
- Accept and pay a deposit for an offer.
Changing programs
If you are a currently studying at the University of Adelaide and wish to change your program or apply for another program, you must complete the internal transfer (change of program) form.
This is for students applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program as part of an approved articulation agreement.
You may submit your application via a University of Adelaide agent or apply directly.

We have a wide network of agents around the world who can assist you with the preparation and submission of your application to study at the University of Adelaide as well as with your student visa application. Search for agents in your country.
Applications without an agent
Your application will be processed by our International Admissions team, so you will be redirected to the Applicant Portal of our International Application System to apply.
If you’re not applying through and agent, click the Apply Now button below to commence your application.
You will be asked to register in the Applicant Portal. This will allow you to save your application at any point before submitting.
In your online application, under the Credit or Advanced Standing section, select Yes.
Along with the completed application form, you will need to submit all of the following documents:
- Copy of academic transcripts (original language AND certified English translations)
- Copy of English language proficiency results (You can send these results in after submitting your application if you don’t have one yet)
- A copy of the information page of your passport
- Letter of Confirmation from your home university with your currently enrolled courses and expected date of completion of your study included
- If you are not applying through an agent, you will have to submit certified copies of your documents in the Applicant Portal. Please read more information on certified documents.
If you are not applying through an agent, you will have to mail certified copies of your documents to the University. Please read more information on certified documents.
If you have an application saved or submitted, you can login to the Applicant Portal to do the following:
- Retrieve, edit and submit an application
- Upload documents.
Direct applicants and agents must lodge applications for higher degrees by research through the Adelaide Graduate Centre.
